Size of the Problem

Students in First and Second Grade will be learning about "The Size of the Problem" and appropriate responses to different problem sizes.

Bug and a Wish

Students learned the importance of using their words. We read "A Bug and a Wish" by Karen Scheuer. They practiced being assertive using the Magic Bug and a Wish wand. For example, "It BUGS me when (you cut me in line) , I WISH you would go back to your line spot ."

Second Grade Second Step Lesson

SECOND GRADE Second Grade students learned the importance of friendship and team work. We worked together to pass the hula hoop to each other in a circle! We read the book TWO by Kathryn Otashi!

First Grade Second Step Lesson

FIRST GRADE First Grade students cooked and apple pie with friendship ingredients such as kindness, sharing and being polite! We read WHAT'S THE RECIPE FOR FRIENDS? by  Greg Abele

Kindergarten Second Step Lesson

KINDERGARTEN Kindergarten students learned the importance of being UNIQUE and built a friendship web! We read THE LONELY SNOWFLAKE by Anita Soelver and discussed how all snowflakes and people are UNIQUE!
